Selma Blair faces charges after alleged assaults aboard Delta flight

2026-10-13

Port Authority police said Blair allegedly hit one flight attendant and bit another aboard a Delta flight from Los Angeles to JFK.
Police said Blair was restrained at JFK, later kicked an officer on the way to hospital and attacked a nurse there.
A representative for Blair said she had a medical episode; the actress takes medication for multiple sclerosis.
Authorities said Blair faces federal charges over the alleged attacks on the flight crew and state charges over the alleged assaults on the officer and nurse.
Blair was arrested after the flight landed at JFK and taken to a hospital for evaluation.
At her arraignment, Blair’s lawyer said she had missed medication doses and hit her head during the flight, leaving her severely confused and disoriented.
