Nine people were killed and dozens injured when gunmen opened fire during a funeral at a Greek Orthodox church in Hammoud, Jordan, on Friday.
Jordan said it arrested three suspects early Monday after a shootout at an abandoned house in Karak; all three were wounded, and authorities seized firearms and ammunition.
Jordan said its forces struck sites in southern Syria linked to groups it associated with the church attack, destroying positions and killing or wounding militants.
Syrian officials said the strikes killed eight people, including three children, and wounded four; Damascus said it had not been consulted and announced a border closure with Jordan.
