One person wounded in shooting involving federal agents in the Bronx2026-10-08A person was shot around 4 p.m. Thursday in Marble Hill, a Manhattan neighborhood attached to the Bronx, during an incident involving federal law enforcement agents, the NYPD said.The person was taken to a nearby hospital, conscious and receiving medical care; NYPD officers were not involved in the federal operation, the department said.A five-year-old child was in the car and was unharmed, according to Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Governor Kathy Hochul.ICE was trying to arrest a 28-year-old Dominican man in a targeted enforcement operation.DHS initially gave no reason for the shooting; ICE official Marcos Charles later said the man accelerated toward officers, who believed they were in danger.
