Elon Musk said Starlink would need affordable prices to compete with Reliance Jio in India, but did not specify what the service would cost.
Jio Platforms is targeting a $106 billion valuation in its planned IPO; its satellite venture, like Starlink, is awaiting final security clearance to launch.
India’s government says it is not favouring Jio and that all three satellite ventures seeking to launch are awaiting security clearance.
Musk accused India’s government and Mukesh Ambani of delaying Starlink’s entry to favour Jio; the government denied bias.
