China marks 90th anniversary of Long March victory as Xi calls for drawing on its spirit

At a Beijing gathering, Xi Jinping urged the Party and the public to draw strength from the Long March spirit to overcome challenges and advance China’s national rejuvenation.
Xi called for high-quality development, closer coordination of development and security, and faster progress toward building world-class armed forces.
From 1934 to 1936, the Red Army travelled about 12,500 kilometres through more than 10 provinces during the Long March, according to Xi.
China Post issued six commemorative stamps depicting episodes of the Long March; 4.3 million sets are planned for circulation.
